Portage County residents are provided air quality services through the Akron Regional Air Quality Management District (ARAQMD), a service of Summit County Public Health servicing Summit, Medina, and Portage Counties. Information and assistance is provided for ambient air monitoring, air quality index, engineering, compliance & technical assistance, open burning, fugitive dust, asbestos and indoor air quality.
